Relief on wooden panels

 

The idea was to use materials from soviet era and to turn them in something visually attractive. I decided to use the doors from old wardrobe found in the museum. I wanted to work with the destroyed monument of Artem. In my work the two sides of his statue are greeting each other, just as the guys do. I hope that it takes the political context and tension out of his story. And making that work turned me to being a sculptor for the first time.
